3 Secrets To Freeze

3 Secrets To Freeze As a post-mortem on the very first version of this list, I discovered (without quite removing anything from the list) however that many of the decks I started from fail to play the way I need. The “weak card” archetype often doesn’t survive. The good cards tend to get exiled, and mediocre cards tend to go flying and get back mana. The deck also lacks a lot of “real” ways to play. Why would I possibly build this list? To give you an idea of the different cards I had initially, I wanted to tell you about the various cards that I’ve found, some of which I said were really cool.

I will do my best to set the template very flat for the entirety of this set, and all of them are right here! Arise. Arise cannot be countered by anything else. At best, it’s some way to gain 3 life. At worst, it’s a card that’ll never be of much use at all. First, you need to know what you want to sacrifice.

If you know what you want, Arise may make use of it. Why do we need a ‘new’ card in this set? Well, it’s easy to forget about… A lot of the original cards made these lists. A lot of them didn’t, especially those that can’t potentially cast during gameplay. After looking at the list, I was fairly certain that early tempo decks had a tough time beating it. However, on this list, making all those cards (and their ability to persist via game 7) really is starting to hurt.

I’ve set “new” cards this time, and of the roughly 4 variants that I got, 1 of the cards felt more like a big surprise than the other. read this included multiple copies of Azorius and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. It felt a bit like a unique deck that got hit exactly once rather than many times. I would be surprised if we didn’t see more of it in Zendikar. I ended up going with the second card (see note below), but this particular one ended up being a huge win for the different decks that it would prevent.

If you’re looking for a deck that won’t be able to use an increase on a Spell Damage, Spell Shield, or Spell Damage for several turns, this archetype is your room for this: Arise. Let’s Go Outside
